A person’s attitude plays a role in the effectiveness of one’s health practice. Science tells us that every 34 seconds someone in this country dies of hardening of the arteries, but every 4 seconds someone dies from “hardening of the attitude”, they just don’t bury them until 40 or so years later.
Our attitude is our emotional IQ. The more control we have over our attitude the higher our emotional IQ. A high emotional I Q is a mind, that at will, can control a state of consciousness that is most beneficial and desirable for any given circumstance.
Our attitude contributes to empowerment or de-empowerment, truth or illusion, health and recovery, or its opposite, discomfort and disease.
Usually, nothing except our own attitude inhibits progress. Anyone who believes they cannot do something denies their own inner strength and capability. Each person is responsible for his or her own attitude and the path to change.
Examine the idea of growing older. We all know that aging is inevitable. It is good to accept that reality but many people grow old way before their time because they accept everything they have been told about the aging process. Having been told that they will be ‘tottering’ and ‘senile’ by a certain age, they accept that and what is worse is, they expect it. By expecting it, they subconsciously guide themselves to t follow that very path and they set up themselves up for a self-fulfilling belief that this is what must happen.
Deepak Chopra in his best selling book “Ageless Body Timeless Mind” Calls it a “premature cognitive Commitment.” Meaning that we see other people growing old at a certain age and we believe that we should be growing old at that age.
We now know that with proper diet and exercise, a great attitude and certain supplements, we can not only slow down the aging process but in some cases actually reverse it.
Adopting a attitude of staying young can help keep one young. By changing such self-fulfilling agendas, we stand a better chance of avoiding ‘premature’ aging and its consequent ‘unavoidable’ problems. Aging is inescapable, but problems are ‘avoidable’ More important then the number of years is the quality of the years. The experts call it compressed morbility, being healthy until the day we leave this earth. In other words being able to leave this world with dignity, or a good way of putting it is, to able to carry our own suitcase when we take that final trip.
If you resist the temptation to expect problems of growing old by a certain age and ask more from life than what others expect, you may not completely conquer aging, but you can tailor your aging to fit your expectations instead of the expectations of the rest of the world. The fountain of youth is not a stream, and elixir or a place; it is our own inner attitude. It is the knowledge that we, as individuals can bring to bear in our own life. One of my favorite sayings is that “you are never too old to get younger.”
If you can see into this little piece of wisdom, you can easily understand at least one aspect of the Chinese saying: Foster the energies of a child. Instead of accepting that you will grow old at 60, 70, 80, or even 90, invest in some of the ideas of youth. They are active, spontaneous, not jaded, have purpose or no purpose. They are eccentric and individualistic and do not worry abut it; they are a little skeptical and rebellious, silly, playful, and even mischievous. They are curious and open minded, and act forthrightly without cynicism. The young and youthful do not follow ideas of grasping and clinging. They do something and move on, the old forgotten. They do not harbor resentment and ill feelings; life is too exciting and too inviting to get bogged down with such sticky self-indulgent muck. The youthful play. They are free wherever they go. The key is to learn to trust your heart; learn to go to the heart and center there. The heart is the key to all the wisdom in the universe.
One of my other favorite expressions is “That I am a recycled teenager.”
Henry Dreher, author of “The Immune Power Personality, states that the healthiest people are in tune with their bodies and minds. They share their feelings with others and enjoy communicating their innermost feelings.
Healthy people know what they want from life and they know how to achieve their goals. They have control over their health as well as the quality of their life and they like their work because it is connected to their life purpose. Every aspect of their lives, relationships, associations, and activities is finely interwoven. They practice unconditional love toward themselves as well as others, including animals, nature and their environment.
Such individuals have a passion for life. They want to share their dreams with others and at the same time they are very willing and ready to receive. Relationships are easy with people in good health, because they have no use for hidden agendas. For healthy people, challenges are opportunities for growth, and fear is easily conquered by love. Healthy people are enthusiastic, willing to explore new frontiers of the mind, body, and spirit, and they thrive on the challenge of new experiences. They have a high emotional IQ.
Science tells us that everything in the universe is made up of atoms, and inside each atom are electromagnetic charges-protons, electrons and neutrons. In groups , atoms form molecules. Therefore, everything is energy and is in constant vibration. This CD, the chair you are sitting on, the clothes you are wearing, the food you eat, even your body are all vibrations of energy.
Everything we see can be measured as vibrational energy- as a frequency. So someone who is happy will be vibrating as a different energy level or frequency than someone who is depressed or angry. And our energies are constantly interacting and impacting each other. For example, a group of people is standing around laughing and having a fun conversation. In walks a person who is in a bad mood, angry and resentful. He joins the group, begins to speak or just hangs around. Soon the mood or energy of the group changes; IT becomes heavy and negative.
The converse is also true when one person walks into a group and lifts the spirit and mood of the entire group. Have you ever noticed how we are attracted to high-energy , fun people? They are similar to magnets.
Our thoughts and beliefs are also energy. They attract similar energy and because everything is energy, our thoughts and beliefs impact the world around us.
We often think of ourselves as victims, powerless over what happens, believing that life happens to us and we have no say in it. We may think that luck, fate and chance determine what occurs in our life. But is that the truth? Are we separate from our lives? Do we have no control over what happens to us? There are two worlds – The Outer World and The Inner World. If there were only one world you would refer to yourself as, I body, instead of my body. The inner world is our spirit or inner being that is there to guide us to what ever we want through emotion. It acts as a servo guidance mechanism.
Our thoughts make up our beliefs, our beliefs make up our attitude, our attitude creates our feelings, our feelings create our results and our results in turn affect our thoughts. So negative thoughts end up with negative results which in turn crates more negative thoughts. The same is true that positive thoughts create positive results and positive results help create more positive thoughts.
Thoughts are magnetic, and thoughts have a frequency. As you think, those thoughts are sent out into the Universe, and they magnetically attract all like things that are on the same frequency. Everything sent out returns to the source. And that source is You.
Our mind is like a television station’s transmission tower broadcasts via a frequency, which is transformed into pictures on your television. Each channel has a frequency and when we tune into that frequency we see the pictures on our television. We choose the frequency by selecting the channel, and we then receive the pictures broadcast on that channel. If we want to see different pictures on our television, we change the channel and tune into a new frequency.
You are a human transmission tower, and you are more powerful than any television tower created on earth. Yu are the most powerful transmission tower in the Universe. All events, and happenings in your life are affected by the frequency you transmit. The frequency you transmit reaches beyond the world. It reverberates throughout the entire Universe. And you are transmitting that frequency with your thoughts. If you want to change anything in your life, change the channel and change the frequency by changing your thoughts.
When you focus your thoughts on something you want, and you hold that focus, you are in that moment summoning what you want with the mightiest power in the Universe, “The law of Attraction.” The law of attraction is the law of creation. Quantum physicists tell us that the entire Universe emerged from thought! You create your life through your thoughts and the law of attraction, and every single person does the same. When you become aware of this great law, then you become aware how incredibly powerful you are, to be able to THINK your life into existence.
If you really, really want to turbo charge the power of your thoughts then add emotion to the thoughts and you will be amazed how fast your thoughts will transform into reality.
Because we think over 60 thousand words a day it is very difficult if not impossible to successfully monitor our thoughts all day long. That’s why the best way to monitor our thoughts is to monitor the way we feel. The key is to spend the most part of the day vibrating in the high frequency of joy, keeping our attention on what we want rather then what we don’t want. So periodically throughout the day, check on the way you feel. If you are not feeling good then it is your inner being telling you that you are going in the wrong direction of what you want. If you are feeling joy it is your inner being telling you that you are going in the direction of what you want.
We are always vibrating in one of these three levels, turned on, flat-lining or turned off. Each level has its own frequency. Turned on is the feeling of joy. Flat-lining is a neutral level that is non-productive and susceptible to the influence of others. (If you don’t stand for something then you will fall for anything).
Turned off is the frequency of fear. All negative emotions fit under this category. The vibrations of mental forces are the finest and consequently the most powerful in existence.
